Course Overview: 

We are offering three sessions designed to enhance your skills in research data management. These events are tailored to different audiences and topics:

Session 1: General Lecture

• Format: Lecture (90 minutes)
• Audience: Master and PhD students
• Date: Tuesday, March 4, 2025; 10:00–12:00 (UTC+01:00)
• Topics Covered:
  • FAIR principles
  • Data Lifecycle (DLC)
  • Repositories
  • Data Management Plan (DMP) Basics
• Focus: Interdisciplinary (Natural Sciences, Life Sciences, Engineering, and Architecture)
• Lecturer: Dr. Daniel Tschink (German Federation for Biological Data | GFBio) 

Sessions 2 & 3: Project-Specific Workshops

• Format: Workshops (120 minutes each)
• Audience: PhD students of  the AgriRestore project
• Dates: 
  • Session 2: Monday, March 10, 2025; 13:00–15:00 (UTC+01:00)
  • Session 3: Friday, March 28, 2025; 10:00–12:00 (UTC+01:00)
• Topics Covered:
  1. Metadata Standards & Data Management Plans (DMP):
     • Instructor: Jimena Linares (German Federation for Biological Data | GFBio) & Dr. Daniel Tschink (German Federation for Biological Data | GFBio) 
  2. Standardizing Sampling Protocols using RightField:
     • Instructor: Priv.-Doz. Dr. Wolfgang Müller (Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies | HITS)
